If you are a registered teacher or police officer, please click here for more information about how to apply for an exemption card.
If you already have a current blue card or exemption card...
If you already hold a current blue card or exemption card, you must advise the Commission if you commence any new regulated child-related employment or volunteer work (including a practical placement as part of your studies with an education provider) by lodging an 'Authorisation to confirm valid card/application' form.
Please note, if you already hold a volunteer or student blue card (and did not pay the prescribed application fee) and you are proposing to operate a regulated business, you must transfer your blue card by lodging a 'Volunteer to business transfer' form and you must pay the prescribed fee.
If your blue card has expired, or is due to expire soon...
If your blue card is due to expire, or has expired, and you are continuing to work in regulated child-related employment, you must complete a renewal blue card application form in full and lodge it with the Commission.
Please click here to locate the relevant form.
If you are a state government employee there are specific forms which can be obtained from your Department's HR or Screening area.
How much will it cost?
